Knob

The Knob is a continuous rotary control. It works in MIDI, MACRO or OSC mode and has the same options as the Fader, plus a double-tap action that returns it to zero or to the center.

What it's for

  • Panning, resonance, sends and synth parameters.
  • Pages where you need many controls in little space.

Adding a knob

  1. Open the Editor.
  2. In the palette, choose Knob in the MIDI, MACRO or OSC section.
  3. Double-tap the knob to open the inspector.
  4. Set it up and tap Save.

Using it in Perform

  • With Pickup, drag up to raise the value and down to lower it.
  • With Jump, touch the point on the arc where you want the value.
  • Tap twice in a row (within 0.3 seconds) to send the value to zero or to the center, depending on what you chose in Double Tap.

Macro mode

Just like the Fader: in Macro mode, the knob moves other controls between a From value and a To value for each target. Possible targets are Faders and Knobs that aren't in Macro mode, and the XY Pad per axis. Step by step in Fader, Knob and Toggle in Macro mode.

Limits

  • In MIDI it sends 7-bit CCs.
