Terms of Use
Last updated: 2026-10-14
These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your use of RigAstra ("the App"), a MIDI and OSC controller for iOS, iPadOS and Android developed by Cristián R. Villagra ("we", "us"). By downloading or using the App you agree to these Terms.
License
The App is licensed, not sold, to you. On iPhone and iPad it is licensed through the App Store under Apple's standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement. On Android it is licensed through Google Play under the Google Play Terms of Service. Your license is personal, non-exclusive and non-transferable, for use on devices that you own or control.
Your Content
Everything you create with the App is yours. The scenes, pages, presets and settings you build, and the files you export, remain your property. RigAstra sends MIDI and OSC to your instruments and software; the music you make with it is entirely yours, including for commercial use.
Your Equipment
RigAstra controls other devices and apps. Before a performance, test your setup — connections, MIDI channels, OSC destinations and clock — and keep a way to stop sound on your own equipment. We are not responsible for the behaviour of third-party hardware or software that receives messages from the App.
Acceptable Use
You agree not to reverse engineer, decompile or modify the App, or attempt to circumvent its technical limitations, except to the extent such restriction is prohibited by applicable law.
Updates and Availability
We may release updates that change, improve or remove features. We do not guarantee that the App will remain available in the App Store or Google Play indefinitely, or that it will be compatible with every future version of iOS, iPadOS or Android, or with every MIDI or OSC device.
Disclaimer of Warranty
The App is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the App will be uninterrupted or error-free. Keep exported backups of your scenes.
Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, we shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, or for loss of data, arising out of or related to your use of the App. In any case, our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid for the App.
Apple and Google
These Terms are between you and us, not with Apple or Google. Neither Apple nor Google has any obligation to provide support or maintenance for the App. Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms and may enforce them against you.
Termination
These Terms remain in effect until terminated. Your rights under these Terms end automatically if you fail to comply with them; in that case you must stop using the App and delete your copies.
Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of Chile, without regard to its conflict of law provisions, except where the mandatory consumer protection rules of your country of residence apply.
Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. The current version will always be available on this page, with the date of the latest revision indicated above.
