Review and share your practice
The history lets you review when you practiced, how long the session lasted and the results available for each mode. It isn't the project file, and it doesn't replace a MIDI take in the editor.
Review a session
- End the practice from its panel.
- Open History from the top bar.
- Select the type of practice: free, blocks or training.
- Find the session and open its details.
- Review duration, active time, tempos and, where applicable, blocks and results.
Total duration and active time aren't necessarily the same: a session can include setup, pauses or stretches where you weren't playing. A practice without MIDI input can log a duration without showing the same active time.
If a session doesn't show up, check whether it was started with Don't save this session turned on.
Save or load a history
- For blocks, open Practice > Blocks > Save History….
- For training, open Practice > Training > Save History….
- Choose a name and folder for the
.mdsshisfile. - To open it again, use Load History… in the same submenu.
- Review the sessions shown after loading it.
Keep a copy of the current history before loading another one if you want to keep both files separately.
Export a PDF report
- Open Practice in the menu bar.
- Go to Free Practice, Blocks or Training, depending on the history you want to present.
- Choose Export PDF Report….
- Select the summary or detailed mode you need in the report options.
- Save the PDF and open it to check that it contains the records you want.
The detailed report is useful for reviewing blocks and tempos; the summary works for giving an overview.
Create an image to share
- Open the record in History.
- Use the option to share as an image.
- Review the image with the session's stats.
- Choose to copy it to the clipboard or save it as a file.
Medussa creates a square 1080 × 1080 image. Saving or copying it doesn't post it automatically to any social network.
To prepare your next exercise, go back to Block practice or Guided training.
