Chou No Tobu Suisou

"Chou No Tobu Suisou" (蝶の飛ぶ水槽, "The Aquarium Where Butterflies Fly") is the opening theme of the anime Pet (2020), performed by TK from Ling tosite sigure. TK is renowned in the anime music world for his distinctive falsetto vocal style and complex guitar work — he's also the artist behind the legendary Tokyo Ghoul opening "unravel." His compositions blend post-rock, math rock, and electronic elements into emotionally intense arrangements that are as challenging to recreate as they are beautiful to listen to. Shiro Neko asked me to remake this track for a cover, and I was thrilled to take it on. Unfortunately, the cover was never published on her channel, but the instrumental stands on its own as one of my favorite remakes.

This is the first time I include the original reference track alongside my remake in a multi-track demo. I wanted to show you how incredible this song is — the dynamic shifts, the intricate guitar work, and the emotional build throughout. I edited the tracks to export a shorter version because the full song is too long for an online multi-track demo, but I made sure to include the main sections with all their dynamics and changes. I love this track.
