Giants

"Giants" is the promotional single for League of Legends, released in 2019 for the Worlds Championship by the virtual band True Damage. The track features an incredible lineup: SOYEON from (G)I-DLE, Becky G, Keke Palmer, Thutmose, and DUCKWRTH, with composition by the Riot Music Team, Harloe, DUCKWRTH, and Thutmose. The song blends hip-hop, pop, and electronic production in a way that's both aggressive and stylish — very much the spirit of League of Legends.

As soon as True Damage released this song, I received a message from Shiro Neko asking me to create the instrumental remake. Musically, the song is straightforward, but the real challenge was in sound design — this type of production can't be recreated by simply loading preset patches. I had to model every synthesizer sound from scratch, building each patch from the ground up to match the original's aggressive textures and layered electronic elements.

I used samples from Native Instruments for the electronic drums, triggered through my Komplete Kontrol interface, and processed everything with Slate Digital plugins. This multi-track demo is very optimized because I recorded multiple synth tracks to achieve the result, then grouped them for the web player.
