Black Catcher – Stingray 5 Bass MIDI Session (EastWest)
About this video
This video showcases the Stingray 5 Bass from EastWest — the bass instrument I used for my remake of "Black Catcher" (Black Clover Opening 10).
The Stingray 5 is simply incredible — a very dynamic and deep-sounding virtual bass with great body. It's modeled after the Music Man StingRay 5, a bass guitar beloved by rock and pop session players for its punchy, clear tone. It's one of my favorite instruments for recreating rock tracks, and it works beautifully in pop and even country music.
In this video, the audio was exported raw from the MIDI session without any processing, so you hear the pure instrument sound before any EQ, compression, or effects. You can see the MIDI note events in light blue and the articulation triggers in different colors — these small colored elements control techniques like finger slides, hammer-ons, and other expressive details that make the bass line feel alive and realistic.
